The Church probably commemerates St.Kieran, the founder of Clonmacnoise, a monastic settlement that had associations with Glendalough during the 10th century.

The warp of all the scarves in the Kerry range consists of a variety of colourful strands of wool, angora and fine boucle and soft luxurious alpaca.
